Reading and faith apps by RMApp · Last updated: October 16, 2026

This policy applies to Bible : Daily verse, Quran Everyday and to the other reading and faith apps published by RMApp (Sébastien Rousseau) that link to this page. It explains what data these apps use and why.

1. What stays on your device

The apps work without an account. The following information is stored only on your device and is never sent to us:

Your choice of tradition can reveal a religious belief. For that reason it is never transmitted, shared with advertising partners, or used to select ads.

2. Location (Quran Everyday)

Quran Everyday needs to know where you are to calculate the prayer times and the direction of the qibla. You can either allow the app to use your device's location or type the name of your city. Your location and your city are stored only on your device: they are never sent to us and never shared with advertising partners. When you search for a city, or when the app looks up the name of the place where you are, the request is handled by the map service of your device (Apple Maps on iPhone and iPad, the Google geocoding service on Android). On Android, a list of cities built into the app is also searched directly on your device, without any connection. The compass used for the qibla works entirely on your device. You can withdraw the location permission at any time in the device settings and choose your city by hand instead.

3. Online listening (Quran Everyday)

Recitations of the Quran are streamed, verse by verse, from the servers of Islamic Network (alquran.cloud). As with any internet request, these servers receive your device's IP address and the name of the audio file requested; we do not add any identifier to these requests. With Premium, a surah you download is stored on your device and can then be played without any connection.

4. Notifications

Daily reminders and prayer-time reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No notification token is sent to our servers.

5. Advertising

The free version of the apps may display ads served by Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, Google may collect and process the device advertising identifier, IP address and approximate location derived from it, ad interactions, and diagnostic and performance data. On iOS, the advertising identifier is only used for tracking if you allow it in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in the device settings (Settings › Privacy › Ads, or Settings › Google › Ads). Where required by law, you are asked for your consent before personalized ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time in the device settings. See how Google uses data from apps that use its services.

6. Purchases and subscriptions

Premium subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), depending on your device. We do not receive your name, payment card or billing details; the app only receives confirmation that a purchase is active.

7. What we do not do

8. Children

The apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Your rights

Because your reading data stays on your device, you can erase it at any time by deleting the app. For data processed by Apple or Google, you can exercise your rights of access, deletion and objection with them, or contact us and we will help you.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with its date.
